Basket, from the Coleraine region, South Western Victoria. Baskets such as this are made from a grass reed found around damp areas known to the Kerrupjmara people as Puung’ort. These types of baskets were used to carry utensils and food. When this bag was collected in the 1990’s, information given said it had been in the family for over 100 years.
